I was not quite four when Grandpapa died, and I remember him playing on
the bed with my baby brother LeRoy. He would hide his can under the
covers and it would delight him that it didn’t take the baby long to find it.
At one time I remember he took me to the large second floor porch to watch
a circus parade.
I have always like pink candies and I really think it is because he always had
them in his pocket to give to his “babies.”
