Ellen Miller Thiriot, age 78, died Sunday, December 11, 1983 at a Las Vegas hospital of cancer.
Born September 13, 1905, in Salt Lake City, to Matthew A. and Minerva Smith Miller. Married Joesph E. Thiriot, June 7, 1934, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Graduate of the LDS High School and the University of Utah. Taught for eight years at the William Penn School in the Granite School District. Active in all auxiliaries of the LDS Church. Filled many offices in the D.U.P. Gave a lifetime of loving service, to family, church and friends.
Survivors: husband, Las Vegas; two daughters, one son, Mrs. Vern (Alice Ann) Wait, Lake Oswego, Oregon; Mrs. Jan (Jeannetta) Peterson, Orem, Utah; Jon Matthew Thiriot, Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, and sisters, Mrs. Joseph B. (Leonora) Gill, Bountiful; Mrs. Roald (Amy) Amundsen, and Burton S. Miller, both of Salt Lake City; Joseph S., Anaheim, Calif.; Richard S., Scottsmills, Oregon.
Memorial services will be held Friday, December 16, 1983, 1:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, Salt Lake City, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
