As always, we will honor our 8 and 12 year-old family members. They will be singing “We’ll Bring the World His Truth”, so remember to practice a little. The children’s program, for children ages 3-7, will be held in the primary area of the building. Light refreshments will be served following the program.
This year marks 14 years since the Joseph F. Smith Family Association website was created. It has seen many versions through the years, but has always been meant to be a resource for family members, to provide news, media, stories, family history, and help coordinate the efforts to stay connected as a family.
If you haven’t looked at the website recently, go take a look. If you have something that needs to be listed in the Resources, look at the article titled “How to Make a Record of Family Heirlooms and Keepsakes” on the home page and follow the instructions. Then contact Jared F. Glade, the website administrator, and he will work to get the items listed. The website has a very easy name to remember. You will find it at http://josephfsmith.org.
This year we are again offering the Joseph F Smith Scholarship. To be eligible for the scholarship you need to be accepted to attend a college or university in the spring of 2014 or be currently attending school. Money for the scholarship is provided by the generous donations received each year at the reunion. To apply for the Joseph F. Smith Scholarship, please send your inquiry to scholarship@josephfsmith.org. You will be sent back instructions for application.
Thank you for your support and generous contributions! We invite you to donate online or at the reunion. Your financial contributions make these reunions possible, as well as our Joseph F. Smith Scholarship, and continuing family history work. The disbursement of these sacred funds is carefully reviewed before being approved by the Joseph F. Smith Family Association Trustees.
HELP!
Sorry…it’s too late now…you would have come had you known…why didn’t someone tell you? Well, we tried, but we couldn’t find you.
It’s too late to attend a re-enactment of the dedication of the Kirtland Temple, in the temple itself; or to have Elder Ballard place a medal around your child’s neck for completing the race commemorating the miraculous life-saving surgery on the Prophet’s leg 200 years ago. DON’T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN! Make sure your data steward gets your address updates, and those of your children, and their children, and your cousins and all the rest of the Smiths. Okay, maybe not all the Smith’s, but if everyone updates their own family, we can eventually get to all the Smith’s. This is your responsibility.
Contact your family data steward (listed on center column of the program) OR fill out the form included with this letter and bring it to the reunion OR mail it to: Mary Donoho, 9871 N West Crimson Ct, Highland, UT 84003 OR send her an email: thomasj@pathstone.us.
We hope you will be active participants in carrying on the Smith Family legacy by attending the reunion, helping to keep our family connected, by reporting updates to Data Stewards, and helping to fund the Joseph F. Smith Scholarship Fund.

With Love,
Mary Lou Little
